The Show must go on…

The last Wednesday in August is the day for Reeth agricultural show, set in the picturesque surroundings of Swaledale, this traditional event showcases competition entries as diverse as vintage tractors, home-made/grown produce, livestock and walking sticks….the winning giant cabbage was a sight to behold !

It wouldn’t be a summer event without the rain (which it did…) and I can’t begin to imagine what it must have been like on the nerves for the organisers in the days and weeks leading up to it….but the show went on….here are a few snaps from the day, the subject matter definitely making a change for me from my day job as a Yorkshire wedding photographer…..
